It does this by producing thousands of deep miniscule thermal columns of treatment inside your skin – this is known as microscopic treatment zones (see pic) This fractional type of treatment allows the surrounding skin to remains untouched (unlike other types of laser treatments), so the unaffected skin helps to heal the affected skin cells more quickly. Which in result helps promotes the skins owns natural healing process.

Is Fraxel Laser painful

It produces a mild prickling sensation.

How does Fraxel Laser differ from other laser treatments

Bulk ablative laser treatment vapourise the entire top layer of skin cells at a high temperature using the laser beam. When the skin heals it should be without the blemishes, scars etc that were there before. Unfortunately the side effects are long healing period and risks of hyperpigment or hypopigmentation. Other type of is non ablative laser treatments results in lower side effects e.g short healing period, but required more treatments over several months.
