Treatments for age spot, liver spots, sun spots on the skin and face

Age Spots, liver spots, sun spots usually begin to appear on the skin and face people of 30+ on areas of the body had continuous exposure to the sun e.g backs of the hands, on the forearms area, shoulders, face, and around the forehead and the upper chest area. Another name for the condition are Senile or solar lentigines

The skins pigment producing cells (melanocytes) are stimulated into overactivity by long term exposure to the sun, this results in an overabundance of pigment (melanin) being produced the in sun exposured parts of the skin, which results in age spots, sun spots or liver spots.

They are mostly tan, brown or black flat spots/patch, have an oval or uneven shape and can be the size of a freckle to a few inches in diameter.
They are generally painless and harmless, and do not itch. Do not get these confused with birthmarks which can sometimes lead to cancer.

Removing age spots,liver spots or sun spots

Below are a list of the different treatments to eradicate the condition from the face and skin:

Age Spots Prevention

Use high factor sunscreen of at least 15, even on days with no sun present, including winter months
• Wear protective clothing, large rim hats, long sleeved shirts etc
• Limit exposure to sun. Stay out out of the sun when the sun rays are at there strongest if possible, between 12am and 2pm
